The Stuttgart semi-final was another compelling match in the riveting rivalry between Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina.

Here is a set-by-set look at their 2h49min thriller and how Rybakina ended Swiatek’s reign in Stuttgart.

First Set

Each point is considered only once. Therefore, aces are not included in winner totals and double faults are not included in unforced error totals.

The winning margin was completely established by Rybakina’s unreturned serves.

There was a 7-point difference at the end of the set. Rybakina won 38 points, Swiatek won 31.

There was a 9-point difference in points won directly with the serve. Rybakina hit 4 aces and another 7 serves that forced return errors, for a total of 11 points. Swiatek could only force 2 return errors.

  • Rybakina was a perfect 12 for 12 on wide 1st serves (7 on the Deuce side and 5 on the AD side)
